CAT's or computer-assisted tools are used by many freelance translators or translation agencies. They are used to make easier the process of translation and to increase the translation speed, consistency, and organization.

CAT tools include in them huge translation memories (TMs).

Many translators are convinced that CAT’s help them to achieving significant increases. They are helpful when working on technical or legal translation and less important in case of fantasy or literary documentation.

4. Cafetran Espresso

It is supporting different file formats like xliff, sdlxliff, sdlppx, mqxliff and txml. The have a double licensing approach as buy receiving one license, you may install on 2 different computers with different operating systems. The trial period to test the tool is 45 days.
